In Fountain Hills, we often talk about the strength of our community. But that strength isn't just an abstract concept; it’s built by individuals who decide, day after day, to show up.
This month, we are celebrating a powerhouse of local service: Julie A. Ewald, who has been officially nominated for the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce Community Volunteer of the Year.
While many know her for her infectious smile, her impact on our town—and the world—is a masterclass in strategic leadership.
From Global Peace to Local Longevity
Julie’s volunteer resume reads like a roadmap for a better world. As the Past President of Four Peaks Rotary, her leadership didn't stop at the local level. She currently serves the Rotary District 5495 in several critical capacities, including:
Mental Health Advocacy: Chairing the Rotary Action Group on Mental Health Initiatives.
Peace Building: Serving on the Rotary Peace Builders Network and the Peace Fellowship committee.
Growth: Leading as the Membership Attraction subcommittee chair.
Closer to home, she is the engine behind the Blue Zones Project certification for Fountain Hills, working to transform our town into a hub for longevity and well-being. She also lends her expertise to the Fountain Hills Community Foundation board and the Chamber’s Health Industry Stakeholders group.
A Key Player on the Health Fair Team
At Clason Communications, we have a front-row seat to her dedication. Julie has been instrumental in the growth of the Fountain Hills Community Health Fair. She embodies our 2026 theme—"Wellness is a Team Sport"—by bridging the gap between healthcare providers and the neighbors who need them most.
Whether she’s coordinating a fundraiser, advocating for mental health resources, or simply encouraging a local business to join the wellness movement, she does it with an energy that is nothing short of contagious.
Join Us in Supporting Her
The Chamber of Commerce Community Volunteer of the Year award is a chance for our town to say "thank you" to those who keep our community moving forward.
Voting is open now through April 5th. We invite you to head over to the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce website and cast your vote for Julie.
Fountain Hills is a healthier, more peaceful, and more vibrant place because she chooses to call it home. Congratulations on the nomination, Julie!
