In the world of community wellness, we often say that "Wellness is a Team Sport." Earlier this year, I had the incredible honor of seeing exactly what that looks like on the final scoreboard.
On February 26, I handed over a $2,500 donation to Scott Sommer, President of the Four Peaks Rotary Foundation —the direct result of our successful 2026 Community Health Fair.

The Engine Behind the Impact
While it’s my name on the check in this photo, the real "roster" of heroes consists of the healthcare professionals who sponsor and participate in our fair each year. Your sponsorship dollars are the primary engine for the Community Health and Wellness Fund, which we established in partnership with Four Peaks Rotary in 2023.
When you sign up for a booth, you aren’t just marketing your practice; you are ensuring that resources stay right here in Fountain Hills to help neighbors who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
Tangible Wins for Our Neighbors
Because of this partnership and your continued support, we’ve been able to provide immediate, tangible help where it’s needed most:
Student Vision: Ensuring local students can see the whiteboard clearly by covering eyecare costs.
Food Security: Paying down student lunch accounts to keep kids fueled for learning.
Crisis Support: Providing emergency medical services for residents facing sudden crises.
As Scott Sommer noted, this fund allows our community to be proactive. Whether it’s a small necessity or a medical emergency, these funds provide a safety net that wouldn't exist without our local healthcare "team."
Preparing for the 2027 Rematch
The impact of the 2026 fair is just beginning, but it’s already time to look toward the future. We are officially setting the stage for the 2027 Community Health Fair. Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 30.
Our goal is to expand the roster even further next year. Early-bird registration for vendors will open this August. If you’re a healthcare professional serving Fountain Hills and want to be part of the 2027 team, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s keep working together to keep our community healthy, one neighbor at a time.
